HIGHWAY CLEANOUTS AND MANHOLES

Project Details

Location: Sayville, NY

Install 5,900 feet of 4” HDPE Forced Sewer Main with Clean-outs and Manholes.

Developer: TRITEC

Joseph Cenzoprano; (917)312-2860

Owner: Brightview, LLC.

Ted Weis

Equipment Used: American Augers DD-6, Underground Professionals UPI-250

Original Cost: $1,410,000.00

Final Cost: $1,609,812.85

Start Date: August 6, 2018

Completion Date: June 14, 2019

Conditions: Install 5,900 lf of 4” Forced sewer Main in the center of Broadway Ave. We also installed 14 clean-outs, 2 Drain Manholes, 2 Air Release Vaults, 2 Gravity Sewer Manholes and 220 feet of 10” Gravity Sewer.

Challenges: The forced Sewer main travelled under the Sunrise Highway and two recharge basins which forced us to complete the first bore in a length of 1,400 lf and a depth of 65 feet to allow proper separation between the Forced Sewer main and the Recharge Basins.

Claims: There were six Change Orders over the project, two were design changes that were resolved with a new price submittal and the other four were additional work to correct the Suffolk County Sewer System that we were tying into. Two hundred and twenty feet of 8” AC Pipe was mostly collapsed and the two manholes on either end needed to be replaced.
