Horizontal directional drill a 14” Fuse-able PVC Raw water line to connect two well sites and eliminate an aging chemical feed system at one of the well sites. The new raw water pipe was to be placed under the sidewalk adjacent to Jericho Turnpike. 

Furnish and Install an 18” HDPE Forced Sewer main under the shipping channel and the steel sheeted bulkheads on either side.  The pipe had to be pulled at night to minimize the disruption with traffic and emergency personnel.

Install four 6” HDPE electrical conduits from vault to vault. The 6” conduits were installed under County owned concrete roadways from existing vault to existing vault, in lengths of 800 feet. Very high vehicular traffic caused many delays and conflicts on this project.

Horizontal directional drill under the beach along the existing gravity sewer line and install a new HDPE sewer line for future use. 1,810 linear feet of 16” borehole held at a 0.3% slope; one 12” DIPS SDR 11 HDPE Sewer Pipe. Subsurface conditions that were drilled through consisted of a predominantly tight marine clay with overlaying sand and gravel.

Horizontal directional drill under Interstate 95, running parallel with the Quinnipiac River. Installation of 820 linear feet of 36” borehole in rock; nine 6” conduits and nine 4” HDPE conduits. The subsurface conditions that were drilled through consisted of dense gneiss.
